Bhubaneswar: May 31: Odisha Government decided to enhance the ex-gratia for death on duty to Rs 10 lakh from Rs 4 lakh.
The proposal to increase the ex-gratia amount for state employees has been approved by the chief minister, Naveen Patnaik.
According to the decision, a government employee’s family will be eligible for an ex gratia payment of Rs 10 Lakhs in the event of their death while on duty.
Similarly, the ex gratia for injury-related permanent disability has been increased from Rs 2 Lakh to Rs 5 Lakh. The ex gratia for partial disability has been increased from Rs 1 Lakh to Rs 2 Lakh.
