Odisha: No toll fee at Pipili toll gate during Rath Yatra occasions

Bhubaneswar: June 28: Odisha Government has taken a decision not to collect toll taxes at Pipili Toll Gate during Gundicha Yatra, Bahuda Yatra and Suna Besha. Besides the toll tax issue, various subjects were discussed on final co-ordination meeting on Rath Yatra preparedness today.

Toll taxes will not be collected at Pipili Toll Gate during Gundicha Yatra, Bahuda Yatra and Suna Besha, informed Chief Administrator of Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) Pradipta Mohapatra after the final co-ordination meeting on Rath Yatra preparedness today.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik chaired the meeting and appealed to both the public and ‘temple servitors’ for co-operation during this grand event.

As decided, five ambulances to be kept ready from July 1 to July 15 in view of security on national highway. The district administration will also provide free ambulance service from July 3 to July 15 during the Rath Yatra festive occasions.

Odisha CM reviewed health services, drinking water facilities, drainage and security arrangements for Rath Yatra. Also, the meeting discussed on complete power restoration in the district. Chief Minister ordered the officials concerned to complete rest Fani restoration works.

Health Minister Naba Das, Law Minister Pratap Jena, Chief Secretary Aditya Padhi, and DGP RP Sharma also attended the high-level meeting.
