Bhubaneswar/Puri, Apr 17: Today Odisha mourned the 20th death anniversary of the state’s former CM and legendary leader, Biju Patnaik. He has occupied a place in millions of hearts under the title, ‘Architect of modern Odisha’ and ‘leader of the masses’. Leaders off all political parties along with each citizen of the state came together to pay their rich tributes and homage to the leader.
Odisha CM paid floral tributes to him at the Assembly today morning upon paying homage to the statue of Biju Babu at the Biju Patnaik park. Hen addressed the media saying that today, Biju Babu’s all sacrifices and his great works for the state must be relived in the hearts of each one here. Patnaik also paid a visit to the Biju Patnaik memorial at Puri.
On the other hand, the BJD also took out a procession from all constituencies under the Bhubaneswar organizational district till the BJD party headquarters. Further, the procession was taken to Swargdwar in Puri. The party is to also conduct meetings at all gram panchayats, blocks and district headquarters in the remembrance of late Biju Babu.
