Bhubaneswar: September 5: Odisha reported 3,543 fresh Corona Positive Cases in last 24 hours. Out of that, 2,161 people were in quarantine and rest 1382 are local contact cases.
According to H & FW Department, Khurda District has registered the biggest single day spike of 878 cases, followed by Mayurbhanj (326 cases), Cuttack (295 cases), Bargarh (274 cases), Jajpur (206 cases), Balasore (153 cases) and Ganjam (102 cases).
Besides, Sonepur has reported 99 new cases, Nuapada 98 cases, Koraput 90 cases, Jharsuguda (87 cases), Jagatsinghpur (85 cases), Sambalpur (83 cases), Dhenkanal (69 cases), Angul (68 cases), Rayagada & Boudh (67 cases each), Puri (61 cases), Sundergarh (56 cases), Bhadrak (50 cases), Kendrapara (48 cases), Kendujhar (44 cases), Kandhamal (38 cases), Bolangir & Kalahandi (37 cases each), Nayagarh (34 cases), Nabarangpur (33 cases), Gajapati (29 cases), Malkangiri (25 cases) and Deogarh (4 cases).
With this, total cases in the State increased to 1,20,221 and out of that, 90,331 patients have already recovered from the disease.
In last 24 hours, 7 patients have died due to the infection and State’s total death toll climbed to 538.
At present, 29, 299 patients are under treatment.
