Bhubaneswar: August 7: Odisha registered another record with 1,833 COVID-19 cases in a day. Of this, 1118 cases were in Quarantine and rest are Local Contact Cases. Also, as informed by Health Department, total cases in the State increased to 42,550.
Today, Khurda topped the list with highest number of cases among districts of Odisha. As reported, 298 COVID Positive cases have been detected from Khurda District only, followed by 279 cases from Ganjam, 152 from Rayagada, 124 from Cuttack, 110 from Sundergarh, 84 from Kalahandi, 69 from Balasore, 67 from Puri, 61 from Nayagarh, 60 from Jajpur, 50 from Bhadrak, 47 from Koraput, 43 from Dhenkanal, 39 from Sambalpur, 37 from Bolangir, 36 from Malkangiri, 35 from Gajapati, 34 each from Boudh, Kendrapara & Mayurbhanj, 33 from Sonepur, 30 from Jharsuguda, 16 each from Jagatsinghpur, Kandhamal & Keonjhar, 11 from Nawarangpur, 9 from Angul, 8 from Bargarh and 1 from Nuapada.
26,888 cases recovered so far in Odisha and 247 patients have died till date. Now, 15,370 patients are under treatment.
