Odisha reports 170 Covid-19 New Cases; No cases in10 Districts

Bhubaneswar: August 20: Odisha reported 2,898 new COVID Positive cases in last 24 hours. Of this, 1792 people were in Quarantine and rest 1106 cases are Local Contact Cases.

Khurda district registered highest number of cases (524) in last 24 hours, followed by Cuttack (241), Nayagarh (232), Ganjam (226), Bolangir (173), Balasore (140), Koraput (132), Bhadrak (107), Rayagada (105), Puri (104), Sundergarh (101), Jagatsinghpur (84), Sambalpur (77), Kalahandi (76), Jajpur (69), Kandhamal (63), Kendrapara (57), Malkangiri (56), Mayurbhanj(53), Gajapati (53), Jharsuguda (49), Dhenkanal (44), Nabarangpur (37), Keonjhar (35), Sonepur (23), Angul (16), Bargarh (9), Nuapada (8), Deogarh (3) and Boudh (1).

With this 2898 cases, total cases in the State crossed 70,000-mark (70,020). Also, according to Health & Family Welfare Department, 46,936 cases have recovered from the disease.

In last 24 hours, 8 patients succumbed to the disease and death toll due to COVID-19 reached 380.

At present, 22,651 patients are active in Odisha.
