Bhubaneswar: August 21: Odisha registered 2698 new COVID-19 cases in last 24 hours. Of this, 1675 persons were in Quarantine and rest 1023 are Local Contact Cases.
In 24 hours, Khurda recorded 475 cases, followed by Cuttack (207), Ganjam (162), Rayagada (154), Koraput (146), Mayurbhanj (128), Sundergarh (103), Balasore (102), Nayagarh (94), Nabarangpur (91), Bhadrak (89), Kendrapara (89), Puri (87), Kandhamal (81), Malkangiri (81), Jajpur (80), Sambalpur (78), Jharsuguda (72), Bolangir (71), Gajapati (58), Bargarh (56), Kalahandi (49), Sonepur (31), Angul (29), Dhenkanal (27), Keonjhar (21), Jagatsinghpur (21), Boudh (11), Nuapada (3) and Deogarh (2).
With this, total cases in Odisha increased to 72,718. Out of which, 48,577 patients have recovered from the disease and now, 23,698 cases are active in the State.
