Bhubaneswar: April 28: Odisha today remembered Utkal Gourab Madhusudan Das, on his birth anniversary. Many Organisations, institutions, individuals and celebrities of Odisha pay tributes to the great soul and architect of modern Odisha Utkal Gourab Madhusudan Das.
Madhu Babu was one of the foremost modern thinkers of our country, who played a major role in the formation of the separate Odisha state. He founded Utkal Sammilani which brought a revolution in the social and industrial development of Odisha.
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Odisha Governor Prof. Ganeshi Lal paid his tributes to the revolutionary’s statue near Governor House square in Bhubaneswar. Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan also paid his tribute to Utkal Gourab.
Naveen twitted, ‘I pay tributes to revolutionary who led the struggle for formation of a new State and recognition of the Odia language. His contributions towards textile, literature and society have been are unforgettable.”
