Bhubaneswar: July 30: Odisha reported 1,203 new COVID-19 cases in last 24 hours. Total tally in the State increased to 30,378. Of this, 758 are Quarantine Cases and 445 Local Contact Cases.
Ganjam and Khurda have reported highest number of cases.
Ganjam and Khurda District have registered 250 and 220 new COVID positive cases respectively. Besides, 97 cases have been recorded in Cuttack District, followed by 74 in Sundergarh, 72 in Gajapati, 66 in Koraput, 65 in Malkangiri, 53 in Bhadrak, 46 in Jajpur, 45 in Rayagada, 40 in Sambalpur, 24 in Nayagarh, 20 in Balasore, 16 in Mayurbhanj, 15 in Angul, 14 each in Kandhamal & Kendrapara, 12 in Bargarh, 11 in Keonjhar, 9 in Puri, 8 each in Deogarh & Jagatsinghpur, 6 in Balangir, 4 each in Sonepur, Nabarangpur & Kalahandi and 3 each in Boudh & Dhenkanal.
Also, as per the information provided by Health & Family Welfare Department, 10 patients succumbed to the disease in last 24 hours. Out of them, 4 are from Ganjam District, 2 from Khurda and one each from Sambalpur, Nayagarh, Sundergarh & Rayagada District. With this, total number of deaths due to COVID-19 in Odisha rose to 169.
Ganjam District has reported 90 deaths so far whereas Khurda District registered 21 deaths.
Regret to inform the demise of 10 Covid positive patients while under treatment in hospitals.
1. A 67-year old male of Sambalpur district who was also suffering from Hypertension.
2. A 60-year old female of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes.
