Bhubaneswar: July 31: Odisha reported 1578 fresh Covid Positive cases in last 24 hours. As per the information of Health & FW Department, 72,233 swab tests have been done in last 24 hours and out of that, 1578 cases have been detected. So, the Daily Positive Rate stands at 2.18 percent.
Out of 1578 cases, 915 people were in quarantine and rest 663 are local contact cases.
Total cases in Odisha since the beginning of the pandemic rose to 9,77,268.
1841 patients recovered from the disease yesterday and total number of recovered cases reached 9,54,929.
Total death toll number jumped to 5902 with 68 new deaths reported today.
Active cases number also reduced to 16,384
This list does not reflect deaths occurring on a particular day. It gives details of past deaths for which the death audit process has been duly completed and the cause of death has been identified as due to Covid-19, said Heath & Family Welfare Department.
