Bhubaneswar: August 14: For second consecutive day, Odisha reported more than 1900 COVID Positive cases. In 24 hours, 1977 cases have been detected in the State. Out of that, 1241 people were in Quarantine and 736 are Local Contact Cases.
In last 24 hours, 332 COVID Positive Cases have been reported from Khurda District, followed by 280 from Ganjam, 120 from Mayurbhanj, 118 from Bhadrak, 101 from Cuttack, 93 from Gajapati, 90 from Koraput , 88 from Sundergarh , 83 from Puri, 75 from Nayagarh, 70 from Rayagada, 69 from Jajpur, 60 from Kandhamal, 59 from Sambalpur, 56 from Balasore, 52 from Malkangiri, 48 from Kalahandi, 40 from Dhenkanal, 34 from Jagatsinghpur, 22 from Bargarh, 20 from Nuapada, 17 from Nabarangpur, 11 from Jharsuguda, 10 from Keonjhar, 7 each from Balangir & Sonepur, 6 from Kendrapara, 5 from Boudh and 2 each from Angul & Deogarh.
With this, total cases in the State increased to 54,630. So far, 37,901 patients have recovered from the disease and 16,352 cases are active.
As informed by Health & Family Welfare Department, 10 patients died due to COVID-19 in last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 324.
