Bhubaneswar: August 17: Odisha reported 2244 new COVID-19 cases in last 24 hours. Of this, 1390 cases were in Quarantine and rest 854 are Local Contact Cases.
According to Health & Family Welfare Department, Khurda has registered 311 new Cases, followed by Ganjam 243 cases, Cuttack 194 cases, Rayagada 160 cases, Balasore 142 cases, Sundergarh 136 cases, Kandhamal 121 cases, Bhadrak 104 cases, Jajpur & Malkangiri 98 cases each, Koraput 94 cases, Mayurbhanj 91 cases,Puri 68 cases, Kalahandi 67 cases, Boudh 49 cases, Bolangir 37 cases, Sambalpur & Bargarh 35 cases each, Kendrapara 27 cases, Nabarangpur 21 cases, Dhenkanal 18 cases, Jagatsinghpur 16 cases, Angul 15 cases, Nayagarh & Keonjhar 13 cases each, Jharsuguda 12 cases, Sonepur 11 cases, Nuapada 9 cases and Gajapati 6 cases.
Total cases in Odisha increased to 62,294. Out of which, 42,277 patients have recovered from the disease and 19,611 patients are active.
According to H & FW Department, 10 patients died today and death toll due to COVID-19 reached 353.
