Bhubaneswar: October 12: Odisha reported 2,423 new Corona Positive Cases in last 24 hours. Out of that, 1,417 people were in quarantine and rest 1,006 are local contact cases.
According to I & PR department data, Khurda district registered 359 new cases in last 24 hours, followed by Angul 229, Sundergarh 195, Mayurbhanj 128, Cuttack 118, Bargarh 99, Jajpur 97, Bolangir 93, Jagatsinghpur 84, 73 each from Kendrapara & Puri, Keonjhar 70, Bhadrak 67, 66 each from Dhenkanal & Jharsuguda, Nuapada 63, Sambalpur 60, Kalahandi 57, Sonepur 53, Malkangiri 48, Balasore 42, Nayagarh 40,Ganjam 37, Kandhamal 35, Nabarangpur 28, Koraput 24, Deogarh 17, Boudh 10, Gajapati 7 and State Pool 75.
With 2,423 new cases, Odisha’s total tally increased to 2,54,662 and out of that, 2,27,615 patients have recovered from the disease.
In last 24 hours, 18 persons succumbed to the disease and total death toll in the State reached 1040.
At present, 25,954 patients are active in State.
