Bhubaneswar: July 12: Less than 2 thousand Corona Positive cases (1993) have been detected in Odisha in last 24 hours. Odisha reported highest number of Covid cases (12,852) on 23rd May. Further, it started declining steadily and today, State reported 1993 cases. Also, the daily positivity rate stands at 2.74 per cent.
Khurda District reported to be the worst-affected district and today, it has reported 322 new cases, followed by Cuttack (322 cases), Bhadrak (181 cases), Puri (144 cases), Jajpur (141 cases) and 110 cases in Mayurbhanj.
Among other districts, Jagatsinghpur recorded 89 fresh cases, Bhadrak 86 cases, Nayagarh 78 cases, Sundergarh 75 cases, Angul 58 cases, Dhenkanal 44 cases, Malkangiri 42 cases, Keonjhar 35 cases, Koraput 31 cases, Kendrapara 29 cases, Rayagada 24 cases, Bargarh 19 cases, Sonepur 17 cases, Nawarangpur 15 cases, Sambalpur 14 cases, Ganjam 13 cases, Balangir 13 cases, Kandhamal 13 cases, Boudh 10 cases, Jharsuguda 10 cases, Kalahandi 8 cases, Nuapada 6 cases, Gajapati 5 cases and Deogarh 5 cases.
Total infected cases number increased further to 9,41,745 and out of that, 9,12,463 people have already recovered from the disease.
State Health & Family Welfare Department reported death of 63 Covid Positive Patients today. With this,total death toll increased to 4662.
At present, 24,567 patients are under treatment.
