Bhubaneswar: July 26: Abhishek Pattjoshi from Dharamgarh of Odisha’s Kalahandi District got the ‘Ironman’ title in the Ironman Triathlon held at Zurich, Switzerland held on July 21.
The Ironman Triathlon Race is an International race organised by the World Triathlon Corporation (WTC), which is regarded as one of the important sports’ ventures of the World. The competitors have to go through the events like 2.4 miles (3.8 km) swim, a 112- miles (180 km) bicycle ride and a marathon of 26.2 miles (42.2 km) to earn the title.
Abhishek, a B.Tech degree holder from NIT Trichy, is among the few Indians to win the title ‘Ironman’.
