Odisha to be under more scorching heat in coming days; MeT Office

Bhubaneswar, May 5: Rainfall has occurred at one or two places over interior Odisha and dry over coastal Odisha. Maximum temperatures observed no large change over Odisha. They were above normal over Odisha.

The highest maximum temperature of 44 degree celsius was recorded at Titlagarh and the lowest minimum temperature of 22.50 degree Celsius was recorded at Sundargarh in the plains of Odisha.

The relative humidity will be 85 percent at its maximum and 45 percent at its minimum, as said by the MeT. On Saturday, rainfall, thunder-squall and hailstorms to occur in Interior Odisha with a wind speed reaching 50-60 kmph but weather to be dry in Coastal Odisha. On Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wesdnesday, weather to be dry in Odisha with a heat wave to flow in Interior parts. As per the weather forecasters, temperature to increase in the state.

Having partly cloudy sky in the afternoon or evening, Odisha’s capital city and neighbourhood is likely to experience in the next 24 hours a maximum and minimum temperature of 39 degree Celsius and 27 degree Celsius respectively on Saturday.

For the farmers, rainfall, thunder-squall and hailstorms to occur in Interior Odisha with a wind speed reaching 50-60 kmph but weather to be dry in Coastal Odisha.
