Bhubaneswar: July 15: The Odisha government will spend Rs.125 crore to build approximately 2000 Kalyan Mandaps and Local Assembly Halls in Western Odisha. On Friday, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik launched the ‘Mukhya Mantri Sabha Ghar’ programme, which will see the construction of mandaps and local assembly halls.
Speaking on the launching of the ‘Mukhya Mantri Sabha Ghar’ programme, Chief Minister said, ‘This will make the social and cultural life of the people of western Odisha more vibrant and active’.

The CM stated that the program will be carried out under the 5T initiatives and expressed his hope that all of these infrastructure projects will be completed on time and with good quality.
In addition, the Chief Minister dedicated and laid the foundation stone for various development projects totaling Rs 33.58 crore.
The CM advised the WODC to take up the development programs after discussing them with the public representatives.
The role of western Odisha is important in the development of Odisha. Western Odisha is rich in agriculture, industry, mining, education, and art and culture. For the development of tourism, the transformation works of Maa Samaleswari, Harishankar, and Nrusinghanath temples are going on. Along with this, steps have also been started for many more temples and infrastructure works, the CM added.
