Odisha to pour more, says MeT

Bhubaneswar, Mar 7: Rainfall has occurred at one or two places over Odisha. Chief amount of rainfall recorded in cms have occurred in Paralakhemundi (dist Gajapati), Odagaon (dist Nayagarh), Kashinagar (dist Gajapati). Maximum temperatures observed appreciable fall over north coastal Odisha and no large change rest Odisha.  They were normal over Odisha. Minimum temperatures observed no large change over Odisha. They were above normal over coastal Odisha and normal over interior rest Odisha.

Having a partly cloudy sky with thunder showers to occur, Odisha’s capital city is likely to experience in the next 24 hours a maximum and minimum temperature of 34 degree Celsius and 24 degree Celsius respectively on Wednesday.

The relative humidity will be 95 percent at its maximum and 43 percent at its minimum, as said by the MeT. On Wednesday, rainfall likely to occur in one or two places of South Odisha and in North Odisha and thunderstorms along with rains in the adjoining districts of Angul, Jajpur, Kendrapda and Cuttack in South Odisha with the wind speed to be 50-60 Kmph. On Thursday and Friday, rainfall along with thunder-squall to occur is one or two places of North Odisha and over a few places of South Odisha along with thunder storms. The wind speed to be 50-60 Kmph over North Odisha. On Saturday, rains with thunderstorms to occur in Interior Odisha and at a few places in Coastal Odisha as well and in North Odisha along with thunderstorms, hail storms and rains, the wind speed is likely to reach 50-60 kmph. On Sunday, rains with thunderstorms to occur in Coastal Odisha and at a few places in Interior Odisha as well and in Coastal Odisha and in the adjoining distrcits of Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj along with thunderstorms, hail storms and rains, the wind speed is likely to reach 50-60 kmph. As per the weather forecasters, there to be a decrease in rainfall from Mar 12. .

For the farmers, light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places of South Odisha and at one or two places over the districts of North Odisha and thunderstorms along with rains in the adjoining districts of Angul, Jajpur, Kendrapda and Cuttack in South Odisha with the wind speed to be 50-60 Kmph. The highest maximum temperature of 38.20C was recorded Malknagiri and the lowest minimum temperature of 13.50C was recorded at Sundergarh in the plains of Odisha.
