Odisha’s COVID-19 tally crosses 75,000-mark; 2819 new cases in last 24 hours

Odisha reports 170 Covid-19 New Cases; No cases in10 Districts

Bhubaneswar: August 22: Eleven Odisha Districts have registered hundred and more new COVID-19  cases in last 24 hours.

According to Health & Family Welfare Department, Khurda District reported 443 cases, Cuttack 257 cases, Mayurbhanj 219 cases, Ganjam 192 cases, Rayagada 147 cases, Sambalpur 145 cases, Bargarh 136 cases, Jajpur 120 cases, Puri 109 cases, Balasore 105 cases and Dhenkanal 100 cases.

Also, Malkangiri District recorded 83 cases, Koraput 81 cases, Bhadrak 77 cases, Nayagarh 64 cases, Jharsuguda 63 cases, Gajapati & Kendrapara 62 cases each, Sundergarh 57 cases, Bolangir 56 cases, Kalahandi 55 cases, Jagatsinghpur 48 cases, Kandhamal 44 cases, Nabarangpur 43 cases, Angul 23 cases, Sonepur 14 cases, Keonjhar 7 cases, Boudh 6 cases and one case from Nuapada District.

So, Odisha reported total 2,819 cases in last 24 hours. Out of which, 1691 were in Quarantine and rest 1128 are Local Contact Cases.

Total cases in Odisha increased to 75,537 and 50,504 patients have recovered from the disease.

So far, 399 patients recovered from the disease.

At present, 24,581 cases are active.
