Bhubaneswar, Aug 16: Yesterday, on the occasion of Independence Day, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik awarded gallantry medals at the State level function to 16 police personnel for their exemplary services.
Malkangiri SP, Mitrabhanu Mohapatra and CRPF second Commandant, Santosh Kumar Malla were among the officers who were awarded with the gallantry medals.
Also, medals were given to three IPS officers, OHRC Additional DG, Manoj Chhabra, Additional DG in the Personnel department, Debashish Panigrahi and Home Department Special Secretary, Lalit Das, for their commendable services.
The CM also gave medals to 22 police officers for their meritorious services. Among the others, IG Southern range, Amitabh Thakur, DIG Northern range, Pratik Mohanty. DIG North-Central, Jatindra Koel, Khurda SP, Manoranjan Mohanty and Bargarh DSP, Jasobanta Senapati who were awarded with the medals for their meritorious services.
