Operational Research Society of Indian to hold annual meet in the state capital

Bhubaneswar, Dec 16:  The Operational Research Society of India (ORSI) would hold its annual convention in the premises of the Siksha O Anusandhan (SOA) for three days from December 17 to 19.

Over 200 experts from eight countries would attend the convention.

ORSI Bhubaneswar Chapter president Rabinarayan Subuddhi informed this at a Press conference held here on Tuesday. He said an international conference would be organised on this occasion and the subject of discussion has been named ‘Topic’.

Experts from eight countries, including India, America, Malaysia, Australia, Sri Lanka and Singapore, would attend the convention.

Detailed discussion would be held on subjects like Statistics, Politics, Science, Computer Science, Mathematics and Economics. As many as 100 thesis would be presented at the conference and selected ones would be published on behalf of the ORSI. A report suggesting use of modern technology for development of the country would be presented to the Government after the convention, Subuddhi said.

SOA University’s Prof Shrikant Patnaik and Prof Jyotiranjan Nayak have been nominated as convenors of the seminar.

ORSI Bhubaneswar Chapter former president Prof Aurobinda Tripathy was present at the Press conference.
