Paralakhemundi, Nov 17: The third phase of investigation into the suspicious deaths of Paralakhemundi King Gopinath Gajapati, Narayan Deo’s former manager Ananga Manjari Patra and her three siblings who allegedly had committed suicide for ‘grabbing’ properties of the king, has begun.
The Special Investigating team of the Crime Branch has started investigating. It’s stated that during the course of the investigation’s third phase. The SIT will hold interrogation sessions with Ananga’s elder sister and nephew on its second day of investigation. Yesterday, a team of the SIT comprising of four had visited here to record statements of sisters and their husbands. It also questioned Paralakhemundi city BJD president, Jamadar Patnaik, lawyer Ram Gopal Rao, two businessmen, a retired bank official and three priests.
Jamadar Patnaik, said that during the interrogation, the SIT asked him to submit his identity card and also questioned as to what was the reason behind Jamadar visiting the palace. On the other hand, priest Ashok Suara said that during the investigation, he was asked of his roles and responsibilities at the palace.
