Buddhadeb Guha Has At Least 95 Novels To His Name
New Delhi, August 30: The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has expressed deep grief over the passing away of eminent writer, Shri Buddhadeb Guha.
In a tweet, the Prime Minister said;
“Shri Buddhadeb Guha’s writings were multifaceted and displayed great sensitivity to the environment. His works were enjoyed across generations, particularly among youngsters. His passing away is a big loss to the literary world. Condolences to his family and admirers. Om Shanti.”

Buddhadeb Guha was a noted writer from Kolkata, who died of post-COVID complications earlier yesterday at his hometown, Kolkata. Born in Kolkata, Guha, who was by profession a chartered accountant, has at least 95 novels to his name till date. Guha, who spent his early days, his youth, in Eastern Bengal (now Bangladesh) has depicted his days in this Rivu series. Some of his Rivu books were also dedicated to his friends from youth. Guha, an avid adventure lover, created the imaginary character Rijuda who explores the forest of Eastern India with his sidekick Rudra.
