Paradip, Mar 1: The Electrical & Mechanical Dept. of Paradip Port Trust, in association with the Paradip Municipality and Paradip Sakshyrata Samity has undertaken a cleaning programme at Mundapada, Loknath Colony in the periphery of Paradip, under Swachh Bharat Campaign. Under the guidance of Chief Mechanical Engineer, Shri A. Jayasimha, the message – “Our Cleanliness is the beauty of Mother India” was spread out. The Officials and Employees of the Electrical & Mechanical Dept. of PPT, Officials of Paradip Municipality and the lady volunteers of the Paradip Sakshyrata Samity, cleaned the slum road and drainages, removed the roadside garbage, sprinkled water on the approach road using Mist Canon, spread bleaching powder for disinfecting the entire slum area.
PPT has made a year-long schedule to undertake cleanliness in and around Paradip area on every 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month, by each Department.
