Cuttack, Jan 17: In connection with the Press Chhak Bomb hurling in Cuttack case , today the 3-day remand period of arrested Industrialist and MD of Odisha Stevedores Limited (OSL), Mahima Mishra ended and he was produced before the SDJM court. It’s stated that during his remand period, Mishra was interrogated on the reasons behind the bomb hurling and other persons who were involved in the case.
According to the statements of Mishra it is learnt that three years ago, a bomb was hurled at one Abhay Bhatt in a murder attempt over some land dispute. On Jan 4 this year, one of the accused in the case, Ganesh Sahu was arrested and according to his statement, Mahima had ordered the bombing. It’s suspected by the cops that after Mishra got furious at Abhay Bhatt after the latter bought a land worth Rs 72 lakh which the former could not lay his hands on, Mishra ordered for the bombing.
On the other hand, Mishra’s bail plea hearing in connection with Seaways general manager Mahendra Swain murder case, has been postponed by the Jagatsinghpur district and sessions court.
