Puri Swargadwar land grab issue: RDC to submit probe committee’s report near Odisha Govt

Puri, Mar 31: In connection to the Puri Swargdwar land grab case, after the nine-member team that had been formed to probe the same, submitted its preliminary report to the RDC of central range, AB Ota, Ota is now prepared to submit the same report near the Odisha government.

As per the report submitted to Ota, the probe team has verified the land records of the 90 year old 16.735-acre land allotted in favour of the Swargadwar. Out of 242 plots on the land, 158 have been found to be in the name of different persons. The other 77 plots on 4.684 acre land are found to be non-recorded. Also the Puri Tehsildar has been instructed by the RDC to record the 77 plots in name of Lord Jagannath. Probe is going on who sold the land and by want means. Also, steps to reclaim the land has been planned out which will be submitted by the RDC to the government. Whereas, hearing on the appeal of Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) on the nectar food (amrut manohi) property of Lord Jagannath will be on Apr 11. The Puri Tehsildar served notice to the SJTA and public in this regard.
