Rainfall increases from Oct 1: MeT Office

Bhubaneswar, Sept 25: Rainfall has occurred at many places over Odisha. The chief amount of rainfall has been witnessed in Puri and near Bhubaneswar Aero in Khurda. Odisha’s capital city is likely to experience in the next 24 hours rainfall of 35.9mm along with thundershowers thus having a maximum and minimum temperature of 31 degree Celsius and 25 degree Celsius respectively on Monday having a cloudy atmosphere all around.

The relative humidity will be 100 percent at its maximum and 89 percent at its minimum, as said by the MeT Sub-Division.

On Monday, Wednesday and Thursday northern parts of the state will get very heavy rainfall and on Tuesday and Friday, coastal Odisha and interior Odisha will get heavy showers respectively. On the basis of weather report submitted by the MeT officials, there will be an increase in rainfall from 1st of October.

The highest maximum temperature of 34.0oC was recorded at Hirakud and the lowest minimum temperature of 22.0oC was recorded at Sundergarh in the plains of Odisha.
