Mumbai, Dec 9: Actress Rani Mukerji and filmmaker husband Aditya Chopra today welcomed their first child, a baby girl, who they have named Adira.
Yash Raj Films, headed by Aditya, made the announcement on their official Twitter account.
“Rani Mukerji and Aditya Chopra become proud parents to a baby girl named ‘Adira’,” the post read.
Aditya’s younger brother Uday Chopra and friend Karan Johar alos shared the news on Twitter.
Actress Parineeti Chopra, who made her debut under the YRF banner, also congratulated the couple, writing, “IT’S A GIRL!!!! So so excited baby Adira is born !! #Adi #Rani.”
It is the first marriage for Rani while Aditya, who is known to be a very private person, was previously married to Payal Khanna but they got divorced in 2009.
