Bhubaneswar, June 13: With the new Rs 500 notes, released just after the demonetisation, getting acquainted with the market, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has again launched a new batch of Rs 500 denomination notes today and will be circulated in the market soon.
The new batch of notes will the bear the signature of the new RBI governor, Urjit R. Patel along with the year of printing as ‘2017’.
On the other hand, the current Rs 500 note series which is already in the market, will also continue to issue, with the new batch.
Meanwhile, the public are getting worried about differentiating within the original notes. For that, the government should properly notify about the specifications of the notes, said sources.
