Bhubaneswar, Sept 9: Renowned writer Dr. Bibhuti Patnaik has been nominated to get the prestigious ‘Atibadi Jagannath Das Award’ for 2016 for his lifetime contribution to literature. This was decided in a meeting chaired by Harihara Mishra, president of Odisha Sahitya Akademi.
Till now, more than 150 books have been contributed by Patnaik. Some of the most popular novels of Mr Patnaik are, ‘Sesha Basanta’, ‘Abhimana’, ‘Trutiya Purusha’, ‘Prathama Sakala’, ‘Badhu Nirupama’, ‘Aswamedharaghoda’, ‘Sesha Ratira Surya’, ‘Dina Jae Chinha Rahe’, ‘Priya Purusha’, and ‘Aei Manaekanta Adima’.
In his life, as a writer he has received awards like Central Sahitya Akademi Award in 2015. In 1999 he got the Sarala Award, Odisha Sahitya Academy award in 1985, and Sahitya Bharati Award in the year 2007.
