Restriction imposed to open cracker shops away from crowded areas in Twin City

Bhubaneswar, Oct 17: A restriction to open makeshift cracker shops at open places away from shops, markets, slums and other crowded areas in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack ahead of Diwali has been imposed today, informed Police Commissioner YB Khurania.

As per sources, the police stations have been asked by the Commissionerate police to identify open spaces for setting up cracker shops.

Khurania said that permission from respective authorities needs to be taken for the cracker shops located in areas belonging to BDA, BMC and CMC. Fire department and police permission is also required, he further added.
