Rishi murder case: Cops seize cell phone of Rishi; sent for forensic test

Bhubaneswar, Jan 9: On Sunday the Commissionerate police seized the mobile phone of the deceased Ashutosh Mohanty aka Rishi. Police said the phone will be sent for forensic test. Once the report comes, the contents of the phone will come out in the open. This was informed by the Police Commissioner YB Khurania to the media.

Related to the case, the Orissa Human Rights Commission (OHRC) has asked for a report from the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Bhubaneswar within three weeks by acting upon the petition of rights activist Akhand about the inaction of Bhubaneswar police in solving the mystery over the death of Rishi. The petition says that on May 5, 2016 in the evening, Rishi was with his friend. After dinner, he vomited and lost his sense for which he was immediately admitted to the Capital Hospital, here for treatment. While undergoing treatment here, he was declared dead on May 6 evening.
