Bhubaneswar, Dec 27: Today in connection with Rishi’s death and its alleged link with the sex video tape, the Niankhunta.com chief, Pradeep Pandey and Odisha Student Congress president, Itishree Pradhan criticised the commissionerate police for not recording their statements even after summoning them for two times. Both of them who had appeared at the Capital PS on Jan 20 for recording of statement under section 161 of CrPC, was summoned to appear today. Unfortunately, the duo had to return empty-handed as the Investigating Officer (IO) was absent today. Witnessing this insensible behavior on the part of the police, Pradhan informed the media that suspecting an involvement of an upper hand to suppress the case, he repeatedly posed his demand for a CBI probe in this issue. He further stated that Rishi being a member of Chhatra Congress, had been fed eight packets of drugs on the ill-fated day. Based on his words with him, Pradhan had taken the name of the City Mayor in the video tape. He also demanded that the tape should be examined at the Central Lab as there are chances of manipulation at the State Forensic Lab. He stated that his statement must be recorded in front of a judge under section 164 of CrPC.
Similarly, Pandey, who had previously told media to provide strong evidences regarding Rishi’s death and its link with the sex video clip, had come prepared to the police station but he refused to inform anything to the media because that could hamper the investigation.
