Sambalpur Jail Superintendent’s state critical; 2 miscreants stabbed him

Sambalpur, Aug 4: The Sambalpur Jail Superintendent , Brahmananda Sahu was stabbed near the jail last night by two miscreants. Sahu was first admitted in the Sadar Hospital by police who had rushed to the spot where the incident took place, and was later shifted to the VSS Medical College and Hospital in Burla after his condition worsened. The condition of the Jail Superintendent is stated to be critical.

According to the reports, Sahu was heading back home after conducting a surprise inspection in the jail when the two miscreants came from behind and snatched his phone in a dark place. When Sahu refused to give them money, one stabbed him from behind and later both of them fled from the spot.

The police are on the lookout of the two miscreants but with little success till now.
