Sambalpur Railway Division gets Rs 320 cr from rail budget

SAMBALPUR, March 1: East Coast Railway (Sambalpur Division) DRM DK Singh has said that nearly Rs 320 crore has been sanctioned to the division in the rail budget for various works.

The works sanctioned for SBP Division are development of JSGR for passenger traffic is around Rs 9.2 crore, construction of two numbers of ROB — Jharsuguda – Brundamal Rs 19 cr and Sambalpur – Hirakud Rs 22 crore –, management of 39 unmanned level crossing Rs 20.26, construction of 27 road under bridge Rs 45 cr and Khorda Road-Bolangir railway line Rs 220 cr),” he told newsmen.

Similarly, intermediate block huts, Junagarh road additional line – Sambalpur-Titlagarh and Sambalpur- Talcher route doubling, Vizianagaram – Titlagarh third line and Berhampur –Sambalpur new route has also sanctioned, he added.

“We are expecting that in two to three years time the doubling and electrification of all major tracks under Sambalpur division will be completed,” he added.

ADRM Birendra Munduia, CMS Dr BC Sahu, Sr DEN VK Singh, Sr DCM Debraj Nayak and other senior officials were at the press meet.
