Bhubaneswar, Nov 11: The replica of Odisha’s only Heritage Site, the Sun Temple at Konark was made by internationally known sand artist Sudarshan Pattnaik at the three-day World Travel Mart (WTM) in London which ended on Thursday.
He also created the statue of Lord Budha under the Bodhi Tree with a message – World Tourism for Peace. The creations were exhibited at the Odisha Tourism pavilion, which was inaugurated by Mahesh Sharma, Union Tourism Minister. Ashok Chandra Panda, State Tourism and Culture Minister was also present during inaugural function.
It may be noted that, with a view to attract European tourist towards the state, the Odisha government participated in the pavilion.
