Puri, Dec 26: Stating about government’s steps towards the maintenance work of Sri Mandir, Sankaracharya swami Nischalananda Saraswati has expressed his sadness against the government. As the government did not involve him in the maintenance work of Shri Mandir, he sought for a White Paper on the maintenance work on Sunday.

By criticizing the Naveen Patnaik government he said that the government has being ignoring him to involve him in Sri Jahgannath temple affairs and he has not been made aware about the ongoing maintenance work of the temple.

Any Prime Minister of India does not know about the responsibility regarding mutt and temple so they are not performing their duty accordingly. Till now no prime minster or chief minister has not been noticed putting an effort towards the temple and mutt, Saraswatti said by bursting upon both Centre and state government.

Constitution and tradition says that the spiritual organization should manage in special manner but government mechanism has now ruled over it thus leading it to a directionless path, he further added.

BP Das commission would do right work, he said. A proposal has also been given by ‘Goverdhan Peeth’ to Justice BP das. Swami Saraswati will discuss in detail if Justice DAS meets him, Swami ji further informed.
