Bhubaneswar: May 05: Odisha Government will form the Food Commission within a month. Search Committee has started working in this regard and its first meeting was held at State Secretariat on Thursday under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary of Odisha Aditya Padhi. Padhi revealed that 27 persons have applied for the post of chairman of the commission. Sources said, former chief secretary GC Pati, retired IAS Rangalal Jamuda, Ashok Tripathy and Girija Shankar Patnaik are in the list interested to take the responsibility as chairman, Food Commission. Around 77 persons have applied for the membership of the post.
Notably the state cabinet approved the proposal for formation of Food Commission in Odisha on 14th March’2016.
