Jagatsinghpur, Jan 2: Keeping in view his health condition, the remand period of Mahimananda Mishra was postponed to Jan 1 and thus on Sunday, Mishra was taken into remand by the Paradip Police for four days. The police will interrogate Mishra regarding his involvement in Mahendra Swain, Seaways Shipping and Logistic Ltd’s General Manager Murder case.
It may be noted that, considering their weak health conditions, Mahimananda Mishra and his close aide Basant Bal were admitted to the Jagatsinghpur District Headquarters hospital on Wednesday. Later, after treatment, Mishra was discharged and sent back to jail whereas Bal had to be taken to the SCB Medical College and Hospital.
Previously, the duo were scheduled to be taken for interrogation on Dec 29 but later, seeing their health conditions, the court had postponed the date to Jan 1.
