Baripada, Nov 4: Due to rains in the upper catchment areas of Similipal Tiger Reserve (STR) and National Park, the tourist visit has been prohibited in the park as it will remain closed for an indefinite period starting from today.
Rain has damaged the park road. Following the shaky condition of the road, the authority closed the park, sources said.
Guest houses booked by the tourists at Jamunia and Kumari in Similipal, can be accessed through Kaliami gate in Jasipur, Park’s deputy director informed.
Notably, the Similipal National Park was recently opened on 1st November.
