Balasore: September 22: Special Task Force (STF) today raided the house of International drug peddler Seikh Raja at Arad Bazaar of Balasore district. A 5-member team conducted the raid and Raja was present during the raid.
Police nabbed Raja from Bhubaneswar on September 15 and further took on a seven-day remand for interrogation.
Raja had international connections in illegal trade and was supplying drugs to different locations through his associates.
STF had arrested him from Padmapur under Khandagiri Police limits on last Sunday and seized Rs.1 lakh cash, one pistol loaded with live ammunition, mobile phones, ATM Cards and other materials.
STF also arrested a havildar of Odisha Police for his alleged involvement with Raja. Another Constable Pradeep Dey accused in this connection, is absconding.
Constables duo allegedly informed Raja before the raid.
