Talibans Kidnap Children & Elderly To Make Them Shield: Amrullah Saleh

Kabul, August 24: The Northern Resistance Fighters of Panjshir valley are fighting a deadly war against the Taliban in the Andarab Valley of Panjshir. Meanwhile, the self proclaimed President of Afghanistan, Amrullah Saleh, has said, “the Talibans have stopped the supply of food and fuel to the Andarab Valley. The situation here is extremely dangerous. Thousands of women and children have had to flee to the mountains. For the last two days, the people of Taliban have been kidnapping children and elderly people and making them their shield”.

Talibs aren't allowing food & fuel to get into Andarab valley. The humanitarian situation is dire. Thousands of women & children have fled to mountains. Since the last two days Talibs abduct children & elderly and use them as shields to move around or do house search.

Fierce fighting between Taliban and Afghan army in Andarab: 50 Talibani Dead

The war in the valley, the only survivor of Taliban occupation in Afghanistan, appears to be heading for a dangerous turn. The Panjshir Valley is one of the few areas in Afghanistan that has not been captured by the Taliban. Sources close to the valley have claimed that more than 50 Taliban fighters have been killed and more than 20 fighters have been taken hostage in the fighting in Andarab.
