Test Match in Mumbai Between India & New Zealand
Test Match between India and New Zealand will be played at the historic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai from tomorrow. The first Test played in Kanpur ended in a draw without any result. Whichever team will win the Mumbai Test, will win the series.
Captain Virat Kohli is also going to return to Team India in the second match, due to which who will play in the playing XI and who will not, it is going to be a big headache for the team management.
This will also be the first match of the pair ‘captain Virat Kohli and head coach Rahul Dravid’.
Choosing playing XI will not be easy this time. In Kohli’s absence in Kanpur, Shreyas Iyer got the chance and he performed brilliantly, scoring a century in the first innings and a fifty in the second innings. so, it is sure, team management will not drop him from the test 2. He will be in Playing XI.
As discussed, one from from Ajinkya Rahane, Mayank Agarwal and Cheteshwar Pujara will be out of Playing XI. Especially Rahane. Actually, Rahane has been out on single digit 8 times this year. Also, his average is 19.50 now.
Cheteshwar Pujara has also not scored a century in the last 40 innings and Mayank Agarwal has also been battling poor form for a long time. So, it is very top to say, who will be dropped from Playing XI after Kohli’s Entry.
New Zealand may also do some changes in playing XI. They may take the field with an additional fast bowler keeping in mind both the rain and the sun. Wagner could get a chance by dropping Will Somerville from the team.
