Bhubaneswar, July 28: Chief Secretary, A P Padhi, under the state-level single window clearance (SLSWCA) has granted clearance to three projects, worth Rs 900 core. These projects would generate around 700 direct job opportunities.
These three projects includes, doubling the capacity of its non-alcoholic beverage plant of Hindustan Coal Beverage Private Limited, situated at Khurdha industrial estate.
The current capacity of the firm is 57.89 million cases per year. For its expansion, Rs 500 crore would be invested and it would produce 348 direct job opportunities.
Second project, is by investing of Rs 102 crore, P & A Bottlers Private Limited (PBPL) would set up a 2.5 lakh hectoliters/annum brewery at Balarampur in Dhenkanal district. It would generate job opportunities for around 116 people.
Third project which got clearance was the set up of a common user facility on 100 acres area at Dhutra in Jharsuguda district by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited. For this Rs 272 crore would be invested and 166 job opportunities would come up through this project.
Though Odisha Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (Idco) has sufficient land for the project of BPCL and PBPL, 40 acres private land for HCBPL would be acquired at Khurdha, informed Kalyan Mohanty, general manager of Industrial Promotion and Investment Corporation of Odisha Limited under the state industries department.
After the review the matter, the chief secretary directed to different departments for co ordination in work to ensure land, forest and other statutory clearances in time for companies.
