Bhubaneswar July 1: As per the Automatic Fare Mechanism, on Friday the Odisha Government gashed bus fare tickets for all categories of passenger buses.
According to the notification issued by the Commerce and Transport department, the bus fare for the ordinary and express buses have lowered by 1 paisa per kilometer, while the bus ticket fare for Deluxe and AC Deluxe category buses have been slashed by 2 paisa per kilometer.
With this scheme coming into effect, the fare for ordinary buses will now be 60 paisa per km as against 61 paisa per km while the fare for express buses has been slashed to 63 paisa from 64 paisa per km. Post, today’s reduction in the fare, deluxe buses will now charge 84 paisa per km as against 86 paisa earlier and commuters travelling in AC Deluxe buses will have to give out Rs 1.05 instead of the current rate of Rs 1.07 paisa per km.
