Bhubaneswar: May 04: So far, a total of 11761 people have been cured in India. In the last 24 hours, more than 1000 cases were found cured. This takes our total recovery rate to 27.52%. The total number of confirmed cases is now 42,836.
Since yesterday, an increase of 2573 new cases has been noted in the number of COVID-19 confirmed cases in India.
The death toll from the outbreak reached 1389.
As per the information, 29,685 active cases are there in the country.
Maharashtra continues to be worst affected state with 12,974 COVID-19 cases with death toll of 548 around.
Total number of confirmed cases in Gujarat stands at 5428, followed by Delhi with 4549 cases, Madhya Pradesh with 2942 cases, Rajasthan with 2886 cases, Uttar Pradesh with 2742 cases and Tamilnadu with 2886 cases.
As per the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare Data, Outcome ratio (Recovered vs. Death) for all closed cases, which indicates the clinical management status in the hospitals was analysed since 17th April, and it is observed that there is an improvement in the country compared to that prior to 17th April, 2020 (Outcome ratio was 80:20) while as of today it is 90:10.
