Bhubaneswar, Sept 9: Yesterday an announcement was made by the Chief Secretary, AP Padhi that the Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Science and Research (VIMSAR) in Sambalpur will be developed as a super specialty hospital.
This decision was taken at the government body meet held at the State Secretariat yesterday. Padhi informed the media that in this connection a sub-committee has been formed for the better welfare of the hospital and it has been asked to submit a report regarding the same in October. Besides this it has also been decided to increase the number of seats at the medical college and decision to develop the hostels at the hospital was also taken at the meeting.
A final call would be taken only after the recommendations of the sub-committee.
