Bhubaneswar, Dec 31: The annual cultural festival of Koraput district “Parab” would begin on January 2.
Parab showcases the best of tribal art and culture.
The three-day state-level festival will held be at the Koraput stadium ground from January 2 to 4.
Parab provides a platform for local tribal artists to showcase their talents. It also provide a platform to folk and tribal dancers from across eh country.
This year, noted Odissi danseuse Ileana Citaristi will perform on the concluding night while noted Bharatnaytya dancer Kavita Ramu from Chennai will regale audience on the inaugural day.
A total of 33 cultural troupes, including several from outside State, would participate in the festival. Started in 1996, Parab has come a long way in promoting the rich tribal art and culture of the region by providing tribal artists a platform.
