Keonjhar, Sept 9: In yet another tusker attack, a youth identified as Rama Munda, sustained critical injuries on his thigh due to an elephant attack last night at Ragadi village under Champua forest range in Odisha’s Keonjhar district. Munda was later admitted to the district headquarters hospital for treatment.
Reportedly, the forest department officials had tried to disperse around eight elephants towards the forest who had entered into the village last night. However, one elephant out of the eight had managed to stay inside the village.
The elephant attacked Munda when he came infront of the tusker. The elephant’s tusk went through Munda’s thigh injuring him badly.
