Bhubaneswar bound flights land at Kolkata

Bhubaneswar: May 14: Two Bhubaneswar bound flights were diverted today to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata due to bad weather.

IndiGo 6E 312 from Bangalore and Air Asia 1564 from Hyderabad had to change their route as the Air Traffic Controller did not give permission to land here. These two flights were scheduled to land at Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) in Bhubaneswar.

It is to be noted, yesterday, six Kolkata bound flights had to land in BPIA due to bad weather. The flights 6E 172 Bangalore-Kolkata, 9W 907 New Delhi-Kolkata, 6E 708 Patna-Kolkata, AI 710 Mohanbari-Kolkata, G8 537 Baroda-Kolkata and UK 778 Port Blair-Kolkata landed here and later took off after weather conditions improved.
